We do not set any cookies for analytics or from third parties when you browse the framework.
Because there are no optional cookies to agree to, this site does not show a cookie banner and there is nothing for you to accept or reject.
Information we store in your browser
The Skills A to Z page stores a small amount of information in your browser's session storage. Session storage is not a cookie, but the same rules apply to it, so we tell you about it here.
When you open a skill on that page, we record that you opened it, so it stays open while you read the rest of the page. There is one entry for each skill, and their names all begin with 'skills-accordion-content'.
This information:
- only records which sections you chose to open
- stays on your device and is never sent to us
- is deleted when you close the browser tab
We treat this as strictly necessary to provide the page you asked for, so we do not ask for your consent to it. You can remove it by closing the tab, or through your browser's settings.
If you sign in to publish content
Signing in is only for the civil servants who maintain the framework. If you have never signed in, this section does not apply to you.
Signing in happens on a separate service at sso.service.security.gov.uk, which sets its own cookies and publishes its own information about them.
Once you go to the sign-in page, this website sets these cookies:
